[I just arrived home from Bandung three hours ago. It was a very jovial trip with my family. We traveled by car all the way from Bogor to Bandung. Bandung is around 93 miles away from the capitol city of Indonesia, Jakarta, and it takes 3 hours to get there. So here's my trip journal.]
Cipularang Tollroad
From Bogor, I drove on Jagorawi (Jakarta Bogor Tangerang Ciawi) tollroad and made an exit at Pondok Indah, then straight on Cikunir - Cipularang (Cikampek Purwakarta Padalarang) tollroad. There was no traffic jam at all, and the road is good. I made time while i drove. It was fun. The scenery along the road is beautiful, too.
Bandung, the Flower city
But I did not see any flower... lol. We went to Braga St., and saw a lot of paintings from the street painters. Cool paintings. Then we went to our hotel, Wisma Sawunggaling, which is located in Sawunggaling St., just 15 minutes walk from Cihampelas. Afterwards, we went up to Lembang, to UNAI campus to meet my cousin.

UNAI is in Lembang. The weather is very cold but so refreshing. It is one of the nicest campus place i've ever seen.
The Peak
The Peak is located near UNAI. Entrance fee: Rp. 2000. You can try flying fox there, or just seeing the beautiful scenery of Bandung from the top of Lembang (outside Bandung), or having dinner with your friends and relatives, or staying a night or two in a villa.
This picture on the left, I took from the opened air parking lot. Once I got out from the car... I was wowed by the view, and took my camera. I love the cloud. It was few minutes before sunset. And the second picture is the parking lot. The high building on the left is the restaurant. The food prices are very EXPENSIVE... i don't even wanna remember the price list! From the right side of the picture (parking lot), you can see Bandung view, and from the left side, you can see the Tangkuban Perahu and Mount Burangrang, and also the paddy field.
Dinner Time
We went down to Bandung, and have 'pre-dinner' at Serabi. At first, it was just for snack, but I already starved, so I ordered Spaghetty. We also ordered Serabi Oncom, Jagung, Kismis Cokelat, and Keju. There are lots of other kinds of Serabi cost around Rp.3000 to Rp. 8.000. And I reccommend you this Serabi place for you..tourists and traveler!!! hehehe...
After that we also went to Savoy Homan hotel. Not checked in, coz we already had a hotel room to stay, but to have the real dinner, buying Nasi Goreng (Fried Rice) across the hotel. The Nasi Goreng is pretty famous in Bandung. And sure... it's a little bit expensive compare to the normal price.
(from the picture below) On the left is one of the Serabi cake we ordered. On the right is Nasi Timbel - rice, sambal, chicken, tofu and tempe (a ko fermented soybean patty). All are fried, except the rice. And all are trully Indonesian food... :D

Ciwidey is a very nice place to visit. You should go there to see the Kawah Putih and Situ Patenggang Lake. Don't forget to bring your jacket. It's very cold there.
