We left Cleveland about 9 am and flew to Chicago Midway by Southwest airlines. Even though rain threatened our weekend plans, we landed in a sunny Chicago and boarded the Orange line to the loop and transfered to the Red Line to Addison Ave. We toured around the Wrigleyville area before settling in at Murphy's for some lunch (Burgers and Brews).

As the crowd grew bigger and tighter at Murphy's, we left and walked around the stadium. We took the obligatory pictures in front of the Wrigley Field sign and entered. We went to our seats on the first base side and then walked the upper and lower concourse to get a feel of this beautiful ball park. The weather continued to be great as the Cubs easily beat the Pirates that day. We participated in the 7th inning stretch vocal activities and left in the 8th to beat the crowd to the el. We did pop into Harry Caray's Tavern. Dinner was downtown at The House of Blues

Back to Midway for an 8pm Southwest flight to Islip Airport on Long Island. Flight was slightly delayed because of bad weather and heavy rain in New York so we were able to watch LeBron and the Cavs defeat the Celtics to set up a game 7 in Boston on Sunday evening. Hmmm.......we will be at Fenway Sunday afternoon, we might be able to make that Sunday night hoops game, who knows. We landed about 11pm in Islip in a driving rainstorm and shuttled over to LaQuinta Inn. Fell asleep watching ESPN sportscenter.
