In-N-Out Burger
This place is proof that fast food can be fresh and good! Why do I like In-N-Out Burger? The burger's deliciousness transcends the ordinary; I can't get enough amazing animal style fries; and the milkshakes are one of the most yummy ethereal food concoctions devised by humans. In-N-Out has the absolute best "fast food" burgers ever. Whether you're ordering from the "secret" menu or straight up, you won't be disappointed.

My son is an Environment Science-Watershed major at CSUMB in Seaside, CA. This is his second year in school and loves it in Monterey, his roommate surfs the bay and their dorm room has a view of Monterey Bay, what more could you ask for while going to school. I try to visit him at least every 6-8 weeks, just for getaway. CSUMB is very focused on preserving the natural habitat the local resources/watershed and work with the Aquarium and UC Santa Cruz!

Love Monterey. I took my kids there 2 years ago and stayed at Motel 6. It was super clean. I rented a car and drove from San Fran and stopped in Monterey for 3 days and continued driving all the way to Santa Barbara. It was awesome and I didn't break my wallet.

Cool to see where you were going in Monterey, since I live there. Haha. I havn't to been to a bunch of those places, now I'm thinking I should check them out before I move out of the area. I would recommend going to Bubba Gumps, Pizza my Heart, and checking out Carmel state beach, and whale watching off of Fisherman's Warf:) And the drive to Big Sur is amazing, but not recommened if you easily get car sick or afraid of heights.

Thank you for the wonderful photos of my hometown! I live on the East Coast now, but grew up in Seaside and moved to Monterey when I was 13. I lived several blocks from what is now, The Monterey Bay Aquarium. I miss the sound of the barking sea lions at night...I used to listen to them as I fell asleep... arf arf arf. IF you ever get back, hit up one of my favorite pizza places...Giannis, on Lighthouse. Tillie Gorts is also down the street and my fav place to shoot a game of billiards, Blue Fin on Cannery Row. This is making me homesick! LOL!

I lived in Monterey for a year. Absolutely a magical place. It is true that for a modern city, it is full of history. I loved how the city maintains the historical buildings. New buildings are built with the architecture of the past in mind. Unfortunately, even though I make a good salary...it is just too expensive to live there. It was like a long, extrodinary vacation that had to come to an end. I moved back to Redding, Ca. No complaints though, this is a beautiful place too.
