Santa Cruz Beach Day Trip

Things to bring: water, Mala Cake, Yam, Beef Bow, Sanwitch, beach umbrella(perhaps).

Wake up in the 7:30 AM in the morning. Trying to wrap up most of my stuff before heading for beach. However, Jeffrey woke up right after me. Even, I had try so hard not to bother the rest of family while they were sleeping sound. Jeffrey must knew that we are going to have some fun today. He didn't want to stay in bed any more. After 9 A.M., I had almost all of my stuff packed and ready to go. However, we still have to wait for Leonard's to get ready. So, Fanny ask me to get a Yoshinoya Japanese Beef Bow again. However, this store won't open until 10 AM. I end up to get a newspaper and my business magazine. Finally, we start off around 11:00 AM. However, highway 17 is full of car. Probably most of San Jose resident want to head for beach to avoid the heat wave this weekend.

We arrive the Lighthouse Field State Beach around 12:00 PM. Actually, it is not far from the Broadwalk. Also, there quite a lot of biker on the land and surfer at the sea. We had plenty of  time to finish our lunch first. Samuel and Samantha surprisely found a ground squirrel. She is kind of cute. After that, we went down to beach and soak in the icy ocean wave. You defintely had to see how happy the kids to  play with the ocean wave.

Our next stop is Natural Bridge State Beach. Actually, it is just 5 minutes drive from the lighthouse. Actually, this park provide more service and charge $6 for parking. Also, there are quite a lot of people camping in the park. Leonard and I end up flying kite in the park. However, wind didn't give us favor. Samantha end up eating the dust while flying the kite. At this hour(4PM), I am really regret that we should bring a beach unbrella to shield up from the raging sun. There is really not much shaded spot around the beach :-(...

On our way back, we decide to go back to San Jose for dinner. We landed at the Hong Kong Saigon Seafood Harbor Restrauant.
