Edinburgh Castle
This was a really enjoyable visit. The girl who ran the walking tour had a uniquely Scottish sence of humour. The exhibits were generally a bit dated in their presentation, but that seemed to suit.
Royal Mile
A long walk with plenty of shops, the woollen mill was quite interesting, but the rest was pretty uninspiring.
Hollyroodhouse Palace
We had missed out on the Buck Palace tour, so this one was worth the effort. Far fewer people and a reasonably good audio. Don’t know why HRH comes back here every year, one visit in a lifetime whilst enjoyable would be enough.
Downpour
Just as we were trying to find our bus stop the heavens opened up. We all got a little wet but the day was just about over so it did not interrupt or plans.
