I arrive in Louisville late morning and take a cab to the Seelbach Hotel where I’m staying. There was a lot of construction going on right outside the main entrance. I was a little worried. However, the lobby of the hotel was very cool. It seemed old and historic. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and allow me to check in early even though it’s only about noon. I’m able to check in and rest up for an hour or so before my meetings which lasted the remainder of the day.
After the meetings I was able to change clothes and then headed to a Louisville Bats game. That was a lot of fun. The stadium was really nice for a minor league team, very fan friendly. I had a really good time.
When I got back I walked along 4th Street and was tempted by all of the bars and clubs. The neon signs were in full force, but it was pretty quiet on Monday night. I ended up having a night cap at the Old Seelbach Bar at the hotel. It was dark and quiet.
I actually had to work all day the following day and went straight to the airport so that’s about all I got to see of Louisville . Overall it was fun and a place that I’d go back to again.
