After driving many hours from Orlando floirda, a night stay in Illinois and a drive a long through Kansas (we were ammused by the fake palm trees at a gas station)..... we are arived in Denver, CO late in the night.
It's interesting approaching Denver from the east at night. One moment you are driving in pitch black, the next the you see this bright spot of hope and a hotel room!
Early the next morning we headed through the east entrance of the Rocky Mountain National Park. We had gone traveled here the year before, entering through the west entrance. However we were only able to go half way into the park, due to snow. I was looking foward to seeing the other half of the park.
Much to our surprise once we entered the park it started snowing! Living in florida my entire life, I didn't "know" that it could snow in june. This was the frist time Josh saw snow, so at least he enjoyed it. Nikki and I were just dissapointed that park had limited visabiliy and we couldn't drive more then 5 min into it.
Oh well! We'll have to try to come again and hope it doesn't snow.
breath taking pictures. I've heard it to be beautiful, but never seen pix. I always wanted to go....never new why. I do now!! Thanks for sharing you're spectacular pix.
