SAN JUAN
- Casita Blanca (La)
Another late start today. So the first thing on our minds was to eat. We drove into this neighbor thinking maybe we should not get out the car. I tell you what though Im glad i did! The best pureto rican food I`ve ever had. I highly recommend this restuarant. No one spoke english which added to the flavor. Seemed like they knew just what we wanted. We were well catered too.. From the Fired flat bread to the soup that was given to us upon arrival. All was enjoyed. I had the chicken and it was really good. We left fat and happy. A must go place. And dont worry about the area just get out and go in!
- Old San Juan
After finishing eating we had some time to burn. So we wound up going to old San Juan.. Doesnt seem like its really that old to me. But plenty of shopping there.. I would say its acutally the tourist trap area. The cruise ships pull into this area. But, there is lots of night life there. From earlier trips I know of. Parking is kind of crazy its best to bring your GPS and hit parking to find a lot. Polo Ralph Luaren, Coach, and Dooney& Bourke to name a few are some of the quality stores you will encounter. Unfornately, by the time we got there all the stores were closed. Word of advice arrive well before 5pm on Sundays..
The Area was still lively though. We visited the San Juan Hard Rock Cafe, and took in the sight while navigatign through the busy streets.. Another must see area.. Not for the kids really.. I recommend come at night with out the kids to enjoy the whole atmosphere.
BACK TO THE BAT CAVE. We are sleepy again!
