Left for Busch Gardens at about 10am for the roughly 2 hour drive to Williamsburg. We packed some drinks and some food and got there around 12:00pm. We checked in at the Quality Inn (Lord Paget) which was about 3 miles from Busch Gardens on Capitol Landing Road. Even though check in was at 2 pm, the lady was nice enough to find us a non smoking room so we could check in.
After dropping of our stuff, we went straight to Busch Gardens. The parking lot was not as packed as we had hoped so we took the shuttle after parking in the Italy parking lot. We took Kofi on some of the rides, watched a show at Pet Shennanigans and then I went off to try the rides. I got on Appollos Chariot, The big Bad Wolf, Loch Ness Monster, Battering Ram, Roman rapids, Griffon (the best by far with the 90 degree drop after it suspends you on the edge for a few seconds) and Alpengheist with it's awesome twists and turns. Because of the crowd I was only able to do each ride once.
We left thepark around 8:30pm and went to look for something to eat on Richmond Road in Williamsburg with all the many restaurants and different choices. We settled for Chilli's. Kofi was so tired that he slept on the chair in the booth we sat in while we ate.
The next day, we had breakfast (free) at the hotel while we watched the first Meet the Press episode without Tim Russert after he had passed the week before. We packed the truck with our stuff, checked out and went back to Busch Gardens. This time, there were even fewer people and I was able to do the rides multiple times 9Griffon - 4 straight times, Alpengheist - 2 times, Curse of Darkastle - once) while Carol took Kofi to kiddie alnd
