Colin and family-Casey sent me your blog of the trip out West and it brought back many memories of our trips there, outhouses which Doug(our son)had to check out, and Buffolo Bill Cody stuff which Casey never wanted to see again! You guys had quite an adventure

Hi Yergins. Sounds like a great trip you're having! Although I would like to hear more about Sophie's bodily functions.

Emma and Sophie, your writing makes me feel like I'm on vacation with you (but without all the boring driving). If you get a little lost and find yourself in North Carolina on the way home, stop on in!

Dear Emma - I just wanted to let you know that I think you journal entires are fantastic. You seem to me to be writing at a level WELL above your grade. Keep it up!! Maybe someday you will be an author or a journalist.

Love the trip blog. I feel like I am traveling with you all. Dumbledore is great. Emma played with him and he was very affectionate. We are glad to be home from our trip. We missed our kitties and got sick of all the restaurant food. Wave to Tom, George, Abe, and Ted (or is it Frank, I forget) for us.

We have been reading your travel journal each day. For some reason our messages keep getting deleted. We have written 150 so far, and none except for the very first one are showing up! Can't tell you how ANGRY that makes us feel......

But anyhow, glad you are having fun. Connor wants to know if the gift shops have rocks. The smooth, colorful rocks that you put in a little bag....

Oh, and Ryan and Connor both want to see pool ratings - a scale of 1 (cold, water heated with a wood fire but the owner forgot to light it today like the Best Western in Munising) to 10 (warm with slides and a lazy river) would do nicely.

We're sure hoping your weather gets a whole lot better. Have you heard about the Grand Canyon dam breaking after 8 inches of rainfall with more expected today? I guess things could be worse for you. NO GIFT SHOP ? ! ? ! ? How can one survive? Colin, it's a good thing you show up in pictures once in awhile, or I wouldn't even know you were on this trip. Obviously you love to journal, but just don't want to hog the computer, right?

Fishing looks like it might be awesome in the pictures of Colin and his slingshot and the Father/Daughter moment. Do you plan to try?

hey all, thinking lotsa good thoughts about your happy adventures. The camping weekend with the Yergins and Kelleys was fun, not so sure Jenna had a good time tho..camping not her thing Brian said. I start MY adventure tomorrow am...going to Ohio (E of CINCY) and really looking forward to old friends and a change of pace and subject. Hope weather is good for you, getting hot again here...love Nana
