I got to my friend's house and put my bag in his sister's car and got ready to saddle up. This is my first time riding on Pat's motorcycle on the interstate. I think it's going to be an adventure. We leave his house heading to Bessemer, AL for breakfast at Cracker Barrell. His sister and two nieces will meet us there. Before we get 20 miles a BIG bug hits my lips (so glad I didn't have my mouth open)! That stung for a good 10 minutes. Anyway, my lip doesn't swell. Which is good.
So we have about 335 more miles to go, and I ride it all the way on the motorcycle. We get wet, thankfully it is a short rainshower, that was FUN! We make some wrong turns, (usually I am thorough with my directions, but on this trip I was just along for the ride; next time I will check and recheck directions though) because that just added more miles to my backside. We finally make it to the hotel in Paris, TN a little after 4 pm. My butt is numb. So I got a quick shower (my hair does NOT do good with any type of headwear) before we head to the wedding. Needless to say I drive and somehow we go straight to the place. The bride is late, so we have time to mingle. The outdoor ceremony is nice. It's very warm out so I am glad when it is over. I'm sure Pat is too; his stomach growled a couple of times during the ceremony! We take a few pics and go to the reception at the church. The food at the reception is really good, BBQ, beans, coleslaw, and of course wedding cake.
After getting back to the hotel, we walk down to the Sonic (about 2 blocks) and have some ice cream. By the time we go back to the room I am almost asleep standing up. It has been a long day.
