We took a red eye to Philadelphia, so day 1 was little more than a bad flight that was late and crowded. We checked into the Fairfield Inn at 2:30am, the staff was very courteous and understanding.
My family and I have been to Penn to Hershey Chocolate World. We are headed to Washingotn DC for the Summer of 09....Loved your trip hope to incorporate some of your ideas into ours.
dogs are allowed at Gettysburg in the park but not in any of the buildings/museums, in addition, there are a lot of ticks in the summer time, you have to be really careful. Washington DC did not appear to be a very pet friendly city.
I'm so amazed there is so much to see and do in Pennsylvania. Have been to Washington DC several times, now want to see the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia, Constitution Hall, Liberty Bell. Can Valley Forge be worked into my itinerary when I want to see Gettysburg most of all. Of course, the Amish country intrigues me, and then yum, yum Hershey. What about Falling Water, in Mill Run? Worth the extra miles? Build it around Gettysburg and go from their. All advice welcomed.
