Chattahoochee, Florida

We made it to Chattahoochee, Florida our 1st day. David thought that "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" was based on the Florida State Hospital located there. Upon further research, we found that there was a movie based on the mental institution called "Chattahoochee" (1989) starring Gary Oldman and Dennis Hopper, but not the Jack Nicholson film.

Hi Lizzie! The cousins are great, they say hello! Spent last night on Lake Saracen, a beautiful park just outside Little Rock. We're at visitors center in Little Rock now. Going to stay here a few days. Just took photo of Graycie navigating in passenger seat:-)

What is that you are riding in the photo? It looks fun! It's almost 9:30pm and Jack (bedtime routines cramp his style) and I were in the front yard watching lightning bugs...the first ones we've seen this summer. Let us know if you see any on your travels!

Hey Cous -
You guys seem like you are having fun! We are surviving another hot summer! Maybe you should end your road trip by swinging by the River House and you and the dogs can all jump in the Rainbow River before heading back to Tampa. Hey Amy(other cous) - we see lighting bugs(fire flies) in the woods at the River during the Spring & Summer. It's hard to believe they are still around. All of the development has driven most of them away, so we get pretty excited when we see them.

Howdy MK & John & friends! I say "howdy" because we just crossed the Texas state line:) Jumping in the Rainbow River sounds mighty tempting! I'll let you know what our schedule looks like on our way back. We saw lightning bugs at Devil's Den State Park a few nights ago. Amy&Lizzie, I'm riding a 1969 Vespa Moped in the photo. I think we need one for the RV:)

I am so jealous! The trip looks wonderful! Brian, the dogs (cat isn't so sure), and I are already talking about how many years before we can buy an RV and tool the kids (4-legged kind) around the US!
