Today it was still kind of cool and windy. Not a very good day to do much on the beach.
So we went out and tried a couple of the Mini Golf courses. The first one was the Hawaiian Rumble golf course. It was a pretty fun course. Some weird guy went ahead of us, he kept talking to himself and just acted weird in general. I could see why he was by himself. He was probably a really nice guy would have probably been alright to talk to, but it's hard to tell about anyone anymore.
After Hawaiian Rumble we went to eat at Fuddrucker's. The people working there were enjoying themselves way to much. I guess that would be a great work atmosphere, they were all having a pretty good time. It was a great place to eat, everyone was so friendly and kept check on us, I usually don't expect that kind of treatment from this type of restaurant. The food was great, I had a turkey burger and Mandie got a 3-cheese burger. Cooked just the way we like them.
Once we ate we tried another Mini Golf course. We stuck with the Hawaiian theme and went to Hawaiian Village Golf. We played the Pineapple course. It was an ok place, not the most fun course I've ever played, but not the most boring either. It was a little close to the road on one side and I didn't like that. The people running the place were really nice, and fun to talk to.
Once done with this course we came back to the Hotel for a while. Got rested up for a few minutes, then tried going down to the beach to toss a Frisbee back and forth a little. The wind was so bad it made it pretty much impossible. One person could throw and the wind would carry it pretty good, but throwing the other direction was really tough, plus the wind kept blowing sand in my eyes. We got tired of the Frisbee playing and walked out into the ocean a little bit, it actually felt pretty good today. The wind made it a little chilly.
We came in from the ocean and went to the swimming pool for a few minutes. We went to the semi-indoor pool. It's in an enclosed area, but one wall is open. The water was pretty chilly there too, I figure where it's under a ceiling it doesn't get much of a chance to warm up. From there we came back to the room for a couple of hours. It was nap time for everyone I think.
Upon waking up I found that everyone was ready to go eat. So we all piled into the car and headed down to the other end of Myrtle Beach to a place called Crabby Mike's. It was one of those all you can eat buffet types. I actually wasn't too thrilled with it. It was way way to expensive, they were charging $24 a person. The food was pretty awful too. I don't think I ate anything that was really cooked good. It was just pretty much got hot and thrown out to eat, no real skill to the cooking. I tried several different things to eat as well, not just nit picking at the food. None of it was worth the $24 price tag.
After eating we headed back "home". We stopped at a CVS on the way to get some little things like a calling card and some magazines. Traffic wasn't all that bad until we got back to North Myrtle Beach, and then it still wasn't too bad, just a lot of bikes and they were spread out a lot. We got back just before bed time, and everyone was tired from the big meal.
Tomorrow looks to have promising weather for laying on the beach and doing nothing all day. I'm looking forward to it.
