Into Boston
Getting into Boston went smoothly as things go as far as travelling with three small kids go. Between my brother, his wife, and their three kids any sort of actvitity adds about 20% time and 50% more effort. They got to my place, picked me up and was able to drop the family off at the terminal. I parked their car in long term and was at O'Hare in a jiffy. Once on the plane, the seating was a mess since we all had different, separated seats and wanted the kids to sit together. Didn't quite work out that way since one woman in particular seemed really irritated that we wanted to trade seats with her so she'd have an aisle seat and not next to screaming kids. And while they were mostly good, those disruptive kids on the plane stand out all the more in a quiet cabin. In Boston, we got a van rental and was off to the hotel. Boston streets aren't terribly great. They're twisty/turny and difficult to navigate for visitors. Luckily my GPS helped out and we got to the hotel easily using local roads. But the trip to the hotel convinced me that we should stick with the expressways. The hotel was great. Two rooms in a suite with a kitchen and two full bathrooms. Three beds gave me my own king sized, which was a nice treat since I had a rough sleep the night before. I also picked up some decent allergy medication too.
