Located at Km. 143 on Highway No. 3 is a wonderland of miniature replicas of such outstanding architectural works as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Democracy Monument , the bridge over the River Kwai, Prasat Hin Phimai, etc. Replicas of places of world significance are also displayed in the miniworld area. These include the Tower Bridge , Eiffel Tower , the Statue of Liberty and Trevi Fountain. It is open daily from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. Admission fee is 200 bahts. Pattaya Crocodile Farm          

 

The Million Years Stone Park and Pattaya Crocodile Farm is situated on over 70 acres of land and just 15 minutes drive from Pattaya. This park and farm is a new tourist attraction created over the past 20 years for all nature lovers.

Ko Lan

Lying about 7.5 kilometers off of Pattaya by a 45-minute ferry or 15 minutes by speed boat ride, the island measures 2 kilometers by 5 kilometers and offers several white sandy beaches, notably Hat Ta Waen, Hat Laem Thian and Hat Thong Long, the latter facing coral reefs. Visitors can choose either snorkeling or viewing the coral from glass bottom boats. Ferries to the island leave South Pattaya pier daily from 10.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Cruises by sailing junks, with lunch provided are also available.

Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep        

 

This famous and important temple founded since 1383 enjoys a prominent position in Chiang Mai, overlooking the city from its mountainside perch. It sits about 3,520 feet above sea level and is accessible via a steep naga staircase comprising around 300 steps.

           

The temple has a huge golden chedi (spire), within which lie some holy Buddha relics that attract devotees from the world over. To reach the temple itself requires a climb up a naga staircase of 309 steps. For the faint of heart, there's also a funicular cable-car to the top which has just been re-built after several fatal crashes. The fare for the new improved funicular is 20 Baht per person.

           

The chedi is in a small courtyard at the very peak of the mountain. The courtyard building sits on a larger plaza containing several buildings as well as a lookout point from which you can see, weather permitting, all of Chiang Mai and the surrounding plain.

The visiting hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday to Sunday. The site is situated at the Continuation of Huay Keaw Road, Chiang Mai 50300 Thailand .

 

Chiang Mai Zoo          

 

The Chiang Mai Zoo has more than 6,000 animals in an environment comprising two waterfalls, reservoirs, an open park, camping spots and animal breeding areas. Among its recent arrivals are 10 penguins, the first ever in Thailand ; gibbons, which are bred successfully; and Chayo, the baby elephant, born at the time of the Leonid meteor shower, who became the symbol of the Bangkok Asian Games. The entrance fee for adult is THB40 and for child is THB20.

Tha Pae Gate 

 

This is one of the five main gates to the old city of Chiang Mai , and a major landmark as well. It was first called Pratu Chiang Ruak because it was situated near Chiang Ruak village when it was built in the reign of King Mangrai in 1296. Each corner and each main gate of the old city faces the eight main points of the compass, with one extra gate on the south side.

Mae Sa Elephant Training Center      

 

The majestic elephants in one of Thailand 's best elephant camps along the Mae Sa Valley. Over here, you can get the chance to watch these mammoth creatures play football, among other tricks everyday with the fees of THB80.

 

You can also get the opportunity to ride an elephant from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. through the local countryside, feed them with bananas and sugarcane, and take plenty of photographs. Also within the camp you will find an elephant nursery and a rafting center (open 8 a.m.to 4 p.m. daily).

The Show times are: 8 a.m. & 9:40 a.m. daily and additional show at 1:30 p.m. during peak season. Charges for Rides are THB80-THB800 per elephant, depending on duration.

 

Elephant Trek, Rafting and Hilltribe   

 

You can experience an exhilarating elephant trek through the neighboring jungle, past bamboo trees and hanging creepers, upwards towards a remotes Lisu hilltribe village.

Bo Sang Umbrella Village      

 

For more than 200 years, almost everyone in the small village of Bo Sang has been earning a living from the umbrella trade, silk and cotton umbrellas and paper parasols.

           

You can watch the umbrellas being made, then choose one from the variety of beautiful and colorful designs to take home as a souvenir.

           

There is also an annual fair, held each January on the main street, which features an umbrella procession, beauty contests, exhibitions and the selling of umbrellas and other handicrafts.

You can visit it daily dawn to dusk and is situated at Charoen Muang Road (Road 1006), Chiang Mai 50000 Thailand .

 

Queen Sirikit Botanical Gardens        

 

The garden was opened in 1992 and covers a large area that incorporates many vegetation types, including some rare species. Moreover, the mountain location makes it an enjoyable escape for everyone, particularly nature enthusiasts.

           

The best time to see the flowers in bloom is during the cool season. Visitors can take a leisurely walk along the many winding nature trails and generally get away from it all. The entrance fee is THB20 each. It is located at 100 Moo 9, Km 12, Chiang Mai 50180 Thailand

Night Bazaar   

 

Though the main Night Bazaar is located in a rather drab three-storey building, this shoppers' paradise also sprawls along the entire Chang Klan Road . The street stalls sell a variety of items, including fine Thai silk, antiques, silver, clothing, handicrafts, CDs, videos, perfumes and watches. However, you should be careful of many imitation branded goods.

Monkey show

Koh Samui is synonymous with coconut trees - there are literally plantations all over the island, and until tourism arrived, coconuts were the main industry here. To get to the coconuts: Enter the monkey, considered as man's best friend. These industrious little animals are greatly prized and give a demonstration of their incredible dexterity (and not just at picking coconuts) in the outdoor theatre.

The Big Buddha

 

Samui's most popular attraction, The Big Buddha sitting 15 meters tall was built in 1972 by the local society to give visitors a place to pay respect to The Lord Buddha. This monumental landmark is placed on the island's Northern shore.

Chaweng Beach

Chaweng Beach, located on Koh Samui's east coast, is the most developed area on the island. It attracts many young travelers and families alike, and remains good value for the money.

The beach is approximately 7 Km long, with powdery white sand. It is bordered by dreamy, emerald-blue waters and a coral reef where waves break, leaving the bay quite peaceful. Two small islands are close to the reef -- the nearest one can easily be accessed by walking through the shallow waters. The second island, further out and larger, provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy snorkeling and kayaking. Bring shoes if you plan to walk around the islands, as they are made of sharp coral sands.

The central part of the beach is a bit more crowded than the quieter north. Many vendors pass by offering beverages, fruit, ice cream and local Thai food for the more daring.

A variety of local crafts and Thai souvenirs are also available.

           

Day 6

Ko Nang Yuan 

The island is nothing but a group of three small islands located to the north of Ko Tao. Offering stunning and breathtaking views, the islands are connected by a three-way stretch of pure white powdery beach.

The rich marine life at Ko Nang Yuan is similar to that of Ko Tao. With a wide variety of coral formations, the island is also an ideal diving and snorkeling spot. Accommodations and facilities are available with daily boat service to and from Ko Tao.

 

Sea Kayaking at Ang Thong National

 

The trip to the spectacular Angthong National Marine Park will take about 2 hours and will take in the magnificent scenery of the north coast of Koh Samui and Koh Pha ngan, the venue for the famous Full Moon Parties.

Lamai Beach

 

Samui's second major beach is located on a cozy corner in the south of the island. Smaller and a bit more laid-back than Chaweng, you can comfortably walk the town in an evening and find a variety of eateries and entertainment venues.

Lamai is never as busy as Chaweng and some will argue that the swimming in Lamai is even better than on Chaweng beach. The long perfect white sand crescent of the beach is also considered to be the finest on the island.

Panthip Plaza 

 

Panthip Plaza is the best place for IT shopping, located at Petchburi Rd in Pratunam district (opposite the Pratunam’s City Complex and the Amari Watergate hotel). Over here, you should be worry less of the prices as it provides very reasonable price with extensive range. But the vendors at the plaza can merely speak English. Usually, it opens from 10:00 - 20:30 (every day).

 

You can reach there by the skytrain (BTS) to Ratchathewi station, followed by either hire a tuk-tuk / taxi, or ten minutes walk down to Petchaburi Road .
