Our hotel seems to have a construction project going on with the stairs, which serves as an unwanted alarm clock. The hammering turns in to drilling, which then turns to some other noise we can't quite tell what it is....
Yesterday was Ile de la Cite, including La Concierge, Palais Royal, Notre Dame, etc. While we were able to see all of the Notre Dame, the rest of the museum parts were closed due to a work strike, oh yes, the finer parts of Europe that I forgot about. The strike gave us the perfect excuse to find lunch and take a nap, as the construction has us up earlier than we wanted.
After the nap we found ourselves tackling one part of the Louvre, we will be going back today, as well as checking out more of Montmarte and the Sacre-Cour.
We had a wonderful dinner last night at Maceo, Steph finally got her glass of champagne, and we both had a chuckle when the business group next to us had the exact same bottle of wine we did, from a list of about 500 wines or so...
I am having trouble loading pictures on this, it turns out I had to start a flikr account and can only put up so many, so I may start rotating them
au revoir!
