Atami Hotel is located in an unspoilt bay, called Paradise Bay. The hotel's location is superb so is the hotel itself. It is locally owned and managed by a family. The hotel has only 32 rooms, the nearest hotel complex has 500 rooms. We stayed at Atami Hotel in August 2007 and left the hotel with some remarkable memories. The waters of the Paradise Bay are crystal clear and the hotel is the only estalishment in the bay. There are no buildings around, except for a summer house, which belongs to one of the richest families in Turkey. You cannot see the house from the hotel though, it is located outside the view. We stayed in the deluxe rooms and it was really worth the money. The room was decorated in such a way that it gave you the feeling of your own home. Beatufil furniture everywhere by the way. We had private yoga sessions during our stay as well as a few sessions of Shiatsu massage. The staff was very helpful and the owners were very hospitable. The Japanese hostess of the hotel cooked us some wonderful Japanese home-dishes during lunch time. When she learned that we lived in Japan for 2 years back in 1996, she prepared us with a special menu as a treat, it was really kind of her.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to have a relaxing holiday, in the midst of nature and withour any disturbances.
