ImageDay 1 and 2- Travel
Atlanta to San Francisco. SF to Tokyo and Tokyo to Bangkok.
Good seats so got some rest and ate some good food. Still, 27 hours of travel is tough.

Arrived at hotel at about 11 PM Friday night and it was very hot and sticky in Bangkok. JW Marriott is just as nice as I remember.

Hey there. I'm not Mike, but I'm a regular Bangkok'ian and always use Crown Tailors to get my clothes done up. They're inside of sukhumvit soi 8..easy to find and get to with the train! I don't think any tailors mind you getting fabric for them to work with :)

I just got back from a trip to Bangkok, Cambodia and Laos with a week in Phuket. That was a 3 week trip and worked well for me.
I think you could pull off either trip but if it is your first time visting the region you might consider just visiting Thailand and Cambodia with 2 weeks.

Should we travel to Bangkok, Laos and Cambodia OR Bangkok, Vietnam, Cambodia, we only have 2 weeks?

Hi JayDee,
I have tried about 10 ways of getting you the info but it looks like Yahoo travel does not allow links or email addresses. If you search trip advisor for Tek Leng you will find the contact information.
Have a great trip!

Hi Mike,
I really enjoyed your trip notes. I was wondering if you could provide the contact details of Tek or the company he works for, so that I could set up a similar trip to Cambodia next year. I like the personal touch of having a local take you around the sites to provide an insight into recent history and culture. Thanks.

Hi Apatin24,
In Siem Reap the Le Meridien Angkor is very nice indeed. You will pay extra for it but the rooms and staff are worthy of the only 5 star hotel in the area (OK by western standards it would only be a 3 or 4 star but compared to other hotels in the area it is among the best).
Hope this helps-
Mike

Hi Mike, I appreciate your willingness to share your experiences. I am going to Siem Riap in January and wanted to know if you might be able to recommend a hotel while I'm there, perhaps you could tell me which one you stayed at and whether or not you were pleased with it. Thanks

Hi :) I wonder if you could provide more information on the Little Angels Orphanage? I would love to make a visit there next week. Thanks!
