The flight & Ripleys
Man this was a trip of firsts- Jesse's first time in Orlando, my first time on I-drive, first time visiting Disney without staying on Disney property, first trips to Universal Studio, first time using public transportation in another city and first time flying!!!!
So the plane departs austin at 7:10 am -we made it to the airport just on time. We checked our bags and went through security and made it to the gate about 10 mins before they started boarding. We flew Delta- the plane was pretty small- Jesse let me sit by the window and I got to see out the window. Taking off was awesome- I've already decided that for the fam (my shortword for family) trip to Florida in 09- we're gonna fly. lol
We had a layover in Atlanta- that airport is huge! Then we got on the plane to go to Orlando- that plane was huge too. lol Orlando had a pretty airport as well.
We arrived and took a taxi to our hotel- Clarion Universal that was across the street from Wet N Wild on Universal Blvd. It was a nice hotel- not bad with a nice sized pool (tho we didn't go swimming), a jacuzzi, a pool bar, tennis courts and i think a basketball court that I could see from our window.
We ate at KFC and then went to the hotel and slept for a lil bit. Then we got up and went walkin to Ripley's Believe It or Not -they have some interesting stuff. Along the way of walking down I-drive I noticied there is lots of souvenirs shops that promote lots of deals- like 6 shirts for $9.95- we went in about 3 stores- they got some pretty nice shirts. All my friends wanted shot glasses- you'll find the generic Florida shotglasses in these stores- not anything stating Walt Disney World or Universal. I also noticed they don't have any Universal stuff at the stores- they have some Disney clothing but nothing with Universal. So if you want Universal souvenirs, I guess you have to visit the park...
Then we hopped on the bus and went downtown to WWE's block party. I think it started at 7 and we didn't get there till 9 pm...We got to take a pix with this ringside prop and the WWE belt. We also got WWE airbrush tattoos and then we took a taxi back to the hotel and crashed out!

The trip sounded like fun. It certainly makes me want to go to Orlandoooo!!
