The adventure has begun
We're in Paris!
First we took a plane from Tampere to Stockholm Arlanda, then we flew to Paris Charles de Gaulle. The airport in Paris was so HUGE! I was very happy that I didn't have to be there alone... We grabbed our backpacks and finally when we found a way out we took a bus to Gare de Lyon. (It was expensive, 12 euros!) It was really warm, 25 degrees celcius. My jeans and fleece jacket were too much!
When we were looking for the hostel, my cousin asked a couple if they speak English, but they didn't say a word in English, even though they certainly knew at least a little bit of it. Perhaps they were just bored with tourists... However, later we got help from some other people, in English. When walking around, we happened to bump into a very pretty church, Sainte Trinité.
After asking for room in a couple of places, we found a hostel in rue de Budapest. The hostel was neither comfortable nor tidy, but we decided to sleep there because it was late and the price was reasonable, 20 euros per night per person.
Everything is so pretty here...the buildings are decorative, and the streets and the shop signs in French are charming. The Eiffel tower looked so beautiful seen from the plane.
