New York Homecoming

The Afinia Dumont Hotel is nice, well stocked with anything you may require (at a price).  The sleeping accomidations are worth the money as I feel like I am staying someplace where I don't have to worry if they ever change the bedspread.  Breakfast was a quick and I do mean quick bite at the Barking Dog Cafe at the bottom of the hotel.  I think our meal was served less than 5 minutes after ordering.  The food was tastey; we didn't want to fill up. 

The part worth writing home about is the spa.  What a pleasant, relaxing environment.  Call ahead to plan a whole day there.  If you call and ask for something available the same day, the staff is very accomidating.  The service is worth every penny.  I had a facial, my husband had a deep tissue massage.  It's a 3 block trek to the Artisanal Bistro for lunch.  I hope he is done soon.  I can't wait to try some different cheeses.
