Stepping Off the Plane in Cancun!

ImageWhen we arrived it was very humid and rainy. We got to our hotel and unpacked and decided to find a place to eat. We took a taxi which costed $9 flat rate to go about 2 blocks but we didn't feel like being all wet when we ate.

We decided to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe like we did in New York! The Mac-a-roni and cheese was a lot spicier compared to New York. It was good. Derick got ribs as usual. After dinner we walked around and went back to the hotel to get some sleep.

thank you so much for sharing the time you visited cancun, i'm originaly from a small town in jalisco mexico and been trying to take my husband and 2 kids for a vacation to mexico, and our concern its always of course, the safety' is it really safe for my family? is the police as corrupt like they are in t.j.? i haven't been in mexico since 1999 and please give us your opinion how the experience in safety was? thanks again

I've never been to Cancun, but I've visited family in other parts of the country. I'm also starting to explore more of the US. It seems to me that if you're going to go all the way to a beach town in a foreign country, you might want to try authentic local food in authentic local eateries. Hard Rock & Rainforest Cafes?! You can have that anytime at home. Mariscos fresh from that morning and champurrado (mexican version of hot chocolate)don't come around every day!
