Our First trip to Europe - 2006

We (the Santuci’s & Koepsell’s) arrived in Frankfurt Germany via Delta Airlines.  We flew Business Elite so our flight was so nice and we were well rested to start our trip.   The Frankfurt Airport is huge.  The car rental Company (Hertz) didn’t have our Mercedes Sedan; instead we got an Audi and hardly had room for our 4 suitcases.  It was quite small for the four of us. 

Our first stop was Heidelberg Germany .  We walked up to the castle and around the town.  I bought a black & white plate at a cute little shop.  It’s a charming little town.

Then we headed to Strasbourg France .  Wow, what a bustling city!  We drove in so many circles around the town but couldn’t find a hotel anywhere.  The reason being, we couldn’t figure out where to park to even how to get to the hotels.  Nothing was marked very well and there were so many one way streets.  It was quite nerve-racking to say the least.  So we headed out of the city and found a hotel called Ibis.  It was very nice and clean.
