Bobbi-Jo, Warren and Cody arrive...

They get to our place in the evening after supper.  They have a good experience at Swiss Chalet - yes it was there first time there!  We are excited for sure seeing them because we know the trip is soon to follow.  We checked out the weather online and found that it may be raining there the first couple days, however, I still don't pack any warm clothes because I was certain it would still be a quick rain during w/ hot weather.  We just chilled for the evening as the three travelling are tired from the drive.  Bobbi-Jo and I have to figure out the song that I am trying to hum but we can't figure it out.  So we check out the handy u-tube for the song.  Yes, it was BLUE in a ton of various versions.  It was kinda funny because they video's would show the blue houses, everything blue in a super amature video.  Out for the night for an early raise.  I think the three others left for the airport at 6:30am while Adam and I waited until 7:30am.  Once we arrived and make it through baggage ect. we met everyone waiting in the airport to go to MEXICO.

Arrived to Mexico which is the same time zone as Saskatchewan.  At the airport it seemed like we waited forever for lugguge to come down & there was a ton of people waiting.  My luggage was almost last as I was getting worried of course that my bags were lost somewhere.  Nope, they were safe!  As we rushed to the transfrer bus there were guys grabbing your lugguge right out of your hand to take it to your bus.  As Adam is telling the guy " we are ok" we can get our own bags - we gave me my bag back!!!  A gew guys from our bus let them take it not knowing that they charge 5 bucks tof the pushy service.

On the bus, we travelled 1 hour and 40 minutes to our hotel.  They served Corona's on the bus for 2 bucks (American).  We arrived to our hotel just in time for supper - yes already thinking about food.  The pizza and pop on the plane just didn't cut it for this long.  At the entrance to the Catalonia Yucantan resort we were served Miami Vice's as we waited to check into our rooms.

We all meet at the El Mercado for a buffet supper.  After dinner of a Mexican cusine of pork tacos, chicken, raw potato things, various salads, the mystery item wrapped in a leaf which Billy said tasted like wood and everyone who had one on their plate spit it out - it was time for drinks.  Once the table next to us left, the server finally started to serve us drinks now.  It started with Miami Vice's...then Tequilla Boom Boom's (and a boom boom for Tara - no alcohol for her during this trip as she is pregnant).  Ok, first time with the Tequilla boom boom's was intersting.  I went first - as they covered the shot glass (a very healthy two ounce shot) with a napkin and pounded it on the table a few times and they passed it to you to drink.  Very unexpected...the server shakes your head around in circles as you are just finshing your last sip (probably spilling the drink a bit).  Then it was everyone turn to experience this drink which became very popular throughout the week to come.  Ok, then the next shot came from the server...gross...memories.  They lit the shot up and as it was glowing they placed it in front of everyone at the table (Tara, Billy, Paula, Ian, Sheldon, BJ, Adam and I).  The worst drink ever was called a kookarachas (Tara had the karacha).  Oh, did I mention that we had to do the shot through a straw (which didn't make sense to all of us because plastic melts in the flame).  I remember blowing out the flame before I stuck my straw in.  Most at the table said that it burned at the bottom of the drink but not sure if it was from the flame, the straw or the drink itself.  Ok, enough shots for a minute because we are...

Off to the Disco Bar!!!  What a night to remember or not remember for some.  Well we all drank a lot for our first night.  The Disco was empty when we arrived but that didn't stop us from drinking and dancing already.  Can anyone remember "Circles" that I kept dancing in circles.  Ian did join me and did a good job.  Paula has a video we should add here!  It was a fun night with all our rainbow shots.  After the Disco most of the crew including Bobbi-Jo and Warren walked down to the water.  I guess a couple of us were stumbling around and did a head plant into the sand not to mention names.  And, Paula with her legs wrapped around a chair I guess did a face plate to into the sand.  Good times.  Bobbi-Jo and BJ were in the water horsing around when Ian whom was taking off his pants because in his drunking state didn't want them to get wet was also in the water - I think he was doing a tackle of some sort of Bobbi-Jo.  And then off to our rooms where man was I sick.  I was trying to accuse Adam of giving me tap water (which we couldn't drink, it was just ok to us for brushing your teeth) and that was the reason why I was sick.  But, he was quick to correct me that it was to many drinks and a few more kokarachas.
