First thing this morning we set out to find a repair shop. We were lucky to find Bob's Towing and Auto Repair in Estes Park right away where they took care of it and we were on our way. After that we went to Rocky Mountain National Park. It was absolutely beautiful. I was disappointed when I looked at the pictures we took because they do not come close to showing how beautiful or massive the mountains are. We drove from Estes Park to Milner Pass, the Continental Divide and then turned around and drove back to Estes Park. Molly met us and spent the day with us in the park. It was great to see her.
We couldn't believe how much snow there was and how cold it was toward the top.
Yes, I did tell Katie to put a coat on.
Here is a picture of the three of us at 12,000 feet!
I took pictures of the meanders at the bottom, middle and top to try to show the change in elevation.
It was very interesting to see the changes in landscape and vegetation at different levels of elevation. We actually saw three different ecosystems.
