Phiuhh... Finally we found some time to go travelling just for the two of us (Me and Wei)...
Actually we plan to go to China for this long holiday, but... there's an accident that make us cancel the trip and we changed to have a short trip to Singapore... ^-^ We decided to have a trip on our own not join in a group as Wei said that Singapore is not so big and he's been there before, and we plan to go there via Batam The challenge was both of us was never go to Batam before... We just depend on my sisters and friends story and our own courage. And we leave the rest to GOD. The adventure was begin.....
We start our trip from Bandung our hometown, we took a flight to Batam with Garuda departed at 12.40 (we bought the ticket from travel agent for Rp. 643.000). We still have to paid the airport tax Rp.30.000. But they delayed the flight... uuhhhhh so miserable waiting in the small airport with nothing to see.. And we're hungry, so we decided to have lunch in a cafetaria, we only buy a bowl of noodle... but it's so expensive for a small portion of noodle... :(
In the cafetaria we met friends, it's Farika and her boyfriend David.. And thanks God... David was going to Singapore too and he took the same flight with us... Wow what a really nice coincidence... So we asked him to guide us... Thanks David... We owed you one... ^-^
Finally our flight departed from Bandung around 14.00. We arrived at Hang Nadim Airport Batam around 16.00 and we took a taxi (one taxi is limited only for 4 person) to Batam Centre. Then we go to Pinguin counter, besides Pinguin there's also another ferry such as Batam Express. They depart every one hour. The ferry was full for the next two hour and finally we have the 19.00 o'clock ferry. We already booked our way back seat for 18 Oct, and we have to reconfirm the seat at 17 Oct. The return ferry cost SIN$ 14.00 and the tax SIN$ 3.00. Then we went to the Immigration counter for paid the Fiskal Rp.500.000. Next to the Immigration is the Check In Counter and for baggage they charged extra cost around Rp.5.000 - Rp.10.000.
After that we went to the mall across the Batam Centre, i've forgot the name. We have dinner there and i buy J.Co Donuts there for a gift to my friend in Singapore who stand as guarantor for the room we've book. After have dinner we went back to Batam Centre and wait for the ferry. When the ferry departed the sky was begin to dark, and it takes about two hour later we can saw the Singapore night's lamp. It's so beautiful... We can see the Merlion too...
Arrived at HarbourFront, the immigration line was so long... There's a lot of Indonesian there, i've met so many familiar face in the plane and ferry. It's a long holiday and people are going to spent their holiday too in Singapore, same like us. But the cost for high season is higher, it can reach twice or third the usual cost. At HarbourFront you can got the Singapore map and other brochures about Singapore for free, but coz of so many tourists, we didn't have any of that... :(
We went downstairs and found VivoCity Mall then we go direct to the MRT Station. David help us to bought the MRT Card and have an MRT map. We paid for $20, the $3 is for the deposit (we can't take it back), the rest can use for the MRT,bus or maybe buy a drink or chocolate from a certain machine. You can add the saldo in any MRT station from the machine or go to the Customer Service. When you back home, you can cash all the saldo in the MRT card except the $3.
But he only accompanied us until Outram Park Station and then we have to go by our own... Uhhh a little bit scary.... ;P When we have to changed the line from North East Line to North South Line. From train to Punggol we have to stop at Dhoby Ghaut interchange and took train to Jurong East, stop at Orchard station, we only wish not to lost in the MRT station coz it's almost midnight. But... God was really with us that day... I met my friend outside the Dhoby Ghaut interchange... Oh i'm so grateful and very happy to met her. Her name is Lani, she knew that we might be not familiar with the MRT station so she waited for us there. Thanks a lot Lani.. And she accompanied us to our room in Orchard. After she went home, we went outside the room and have a midnite walk in the Orchard street. All mall already closed, so we just took a picture and buy orange juice in front of Lucky Plaza.
So we decided to go to Singapore...
And I like trip very much.
Thanks.
Take Care

It's really nice to know that you will visit Singapore in your next trip, hope that you will have enough time to visit every place you want to go. For me it's so many places to go but so little time :(. And one i regret was missed the light show at one of the Orchard Road junction while i was staying at Orchard... (sigh)... what a pity.
Hope you will have a good holiday too...
Nice to know you.
