Great ship with many fun things to do on it, operated by Royal Caribbean cruise lines.
We got to Port Canaveral a bit sooner than we had expected. (Yes I tend to drive a little faster than I should when I get excited about something... like my trip) We had to wait outside for about an hour (I know, I drive faster than I let on) but we were the first in the door. All of a sudden it hits me. CRAP!!! I forgot our SetSail pass! I went through all of the trouble checking in online and I forgot the stupid piece of paper that is supposed to save me about 30 minutes in line. Well the guy lets us in the door, but didn't tell us to have our passports out and ready, so we had to dig in our bags to get it out. The people behind us (who told us later they had done this a few times) were ready and passed us. Okay, so now were are 5 and 6 in line. We get in and I inform a lady walking around that I didn't have my Online pass. She hands me a piece of paper and says, fill this out real quick then and we'll take care of you. We fill it out and finish just as they start taking people for check-in. We go through the line and get checked in. We go to holding area number two. (The one before we get on the boat) Another employee is noticed walking around shouting, "Who's Cell Phone?" Yep! it was my girlfriends. That was lucky!
So after checking in, not having our SetSail passes, guess were we are in line... (Depending on your answer, you are either right or wrong) Number 5 spot and number 6 spot. They made checking in a breeze and the group that was in front of us said it was the easiest check-in they have ever had. They informed us that Royal Caribbean was the best pre-board experience they have ever had and that Carnival was not as easy.
Time to get on the boat. Rooms are not ready when you get on, so the first thing to do is go eat until they are. We ate, we bought a bottomless soda cup, (made great use of it, I will NEVER drink Sprite again I had it so much) and we prepared to go to our room. Our rooms are ready and we go to them. It is kinda small, but it was the cheapest so what do you expect? The bathroom was tiny and the shower was smaller than a tanning bed, but still, we are on an adventure. Time to set sail... We get acquainted with the ship and prepare to be on it for the next 5 days. Exciting stuff and we are both glad we chose this trip.
We just booked this same trip for June. Looking forward to it & glad to get some feedback before hand. -Our first cruise was a blast & I can't wait for this one.
so exiting!!
More to come later.
