My mother, my baby, and me in Waikiki

We leave tomorrow...for Okinawa!  We are stationed there, so I am actually taking my mom from her home in the states to mine in Japan.  We'll stay there about 5 weeks so I can wrap up some stuff at home.  I am pregnant again and I don't want to have a second baby in JP, so I'll be moving out as best I can.  My hubby is otherwise occupied in yet another country, so it will just be the three of us.  Then, as a reward to my mom for all she has done, Hawaii!

I've been to Waikiki before about 2 years ago so I remember a lot of what I have scheduled.  Some of it I didn't have time to do the first time.  However, I've never been there with a 10-month old or a pregnant belly.  I went to Thailand while pg the first time, and it was fine.  Tip:  Lie about how far along you are to the airlines.  I like to tell them I am about four months (almost true this time) because they get really scared when they see you coming.  I am packing many more clothes for my baby than for myself, and taking my first turn with a maternity swimsuit-ugh!  My mom, on the other hand, is starting to get pretty excited.  She has all of these clothes she's bought "in case I get to go somewhere nice like on a cruise".  She keeps pulling them out and showing them to me to see what I think.  It's nice to see her excited.

My main focus on this trip will be showing my  mom a great time, taking care of my baby, and taking care of myself in the process!
