Thing to bring: Jacket, exchange clothes for Sam/Jeff.
We are leaving San Jose around 11:00 AM after Jeffrey get fed. Fanny bought a lunch box from Yoshinoya Beef Bowl before we hit the road. I couldn't decide to take I-280 or 101 to MuirWood. Eventually, I follow the GPS suggestion and take I-280. Traffic on I-280 is not so bad on Monday morning. But, when we hit Highway 1, it is really getting worse. It almost take me 30 minuts to hit the Golden Gate Bridge. After passing golden gate, Jeffrey is really getting fuzzy. We eventually stop by a Stubuck Coffee before Mill Valley. So, we can all stretch our leg and have lunch. After lunch, we hit the road again, this time it only take about 15 minutes to arrive the MuirWood. However, we have trouble to find a parking space. The additional parking space also full. I end up park the van on the roadside like most of the tourists. I almost gave up and want to go to Sausalito which is only about 30 minutes drive from MuirWood. Luckily, Fanny insist to go in.
Even it is a sunny day in Bay Area, temperature in the park is so mild. It is probably only 70 degree. Unless exposed in the sun, I feel a little be cold. But, it is very comfortable. Also, the trail was laid with board walk. So, there is hardly any dust floating on the air. That's why the fresh air was kept and make hiker feel so refreshed. Jeffrey was so happy. He constantly wave to the other tourists. All the tourists love him and wave back with a smile. The is probably the prime time for a 18 month old boy. On the way back, I plan to drive the van myself and pickup Fanny and kids later. However, I found out there is a ranger guarding the gate that drive away all the vechicles which intend to enter into the park. So, we end up walk down another 100 meter and pickup Fanny's at the BUS parking.
On the way back, I took the highway 101. However, downtown San Francisco was also crowded, especially at the Lombard St. One bad think, I have no idea where to go for dinner. So, we end up head home directrly.
