Christmas Vacation

Day One:
Zoo, we bought the upgraded tickets which included the sky trolley and the bus rides. If you don't have kids then there is no need to buy this ticket. We walked the entire zoo and then at the end took the sky trolley. The food in the zoo is pretty good and the exhibits are great.
We then drove to Coronado and walked around the Hotel Del Coronado and their downtown area.
Later on at night,  we drove to the Gaslamp Quarter for walking and dinner. We ate at Sadaf Persian they have belly dancing at night and good food. The shops in Gaslamp are very nice and a bit pricey.

Day Two
La Jolla, We walked along the coast towards the cove for miles. Sea Lions are at cove and great photos could be taken in this area. After the walk and sight seeing, we ate at Blu Wave located along the coast. After lunch, we walked along Prospect street. We then went to Mount Soledad, great photos can be taken on the mountain and the view of the city is great.
From La Jolla, we drove to Balboa park and drove around that area. Again at night we went to Gaslamp, shopped and ate at Los Panchos.

We stayed at Comfort Inn in Gaslamp, walking distant to the Gaslamp area. The hotel was 10 miles from La Jolla and 4 miles from the zoo and Balboa park. They also had complimentary breakfast.
