We booked the Dreamscape Cabin through CabinsUSA in Gatlinburg and split the cabin with another couple. We arrived in Gatlinburg around 7:00pm, checked in at the rental office, which is by light 10. Then, realizing that after the long trip from Florida , the last thing we wanted to do was grocery shop. We had some basic supplies and groceries that we had brought with us for Sunday's breakfast, so we decided to stop for dinner then go up to then cabin. We stopped at the first restaurant we came to, which ended up being Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant. It was about 730pm at this point, and we walked into the restaurant with no waiting. We were greeted immediately, seated right away, and were one of maybe four couples there. We had fabulous service and the meals ran about $13, but came with fantastic amounts of food. Everything there was good, home cooked, southern food. Each of us ordered a different type of food and then passed it around and there was nothing that wasn't worth the money. Afterwards, we went through Gatlinburg, which was lit up beautifully for Christmas, in order to get to the cabin. The cabin was everything the website said that it would be and was immaculate to boot. The beds were comfortable; there were extra linens for each bedroom, and lots of really good pillows. There was a full kitchen that was kind of meagerly stocked as far as pots and pans went, and the cabin itself was just gorgeous. Unfortunately, it was dark out at this point and we couldn't see the beautiful view that would await us in the morning.
My wife and I are going there in March for our 2nd anniversary. Although im not able to walk very far, Im thinking i can Improvised just this time to check out the sites as an actual person there to relax and try things.
Thanks again for posting this, it makes my future trip REALLY worth looking forward to.

we were there on 2003 and 2007, we cannot wait to go back in 2009, just beautiful, we stayed at Country Pines Cabins and will stay there the next trip to!!!!!!
We always rent a cabin at Christmas time, and our son and his wife fly in from Japan and we spend 5 days there. The cabins, use different ones, have been wonderful and we have such a wonderful time. I cook breakfast in while all is sleeping and they get up bragging of the aroma of the food going thru the cabin. Said they can even smell it upstairs. I would suggest Black Bear Jamboree, Smith Family Show, all of them are good. I haven't found anything that I haven't enjoyed.
Worth the trip from WV and do not have enough time to do all the things we like to do.
