Landed in Cancun. My hair immediately started doing the thing Monica on "Friends'" hair does when they go the Caribbean -- that is, fluffing into a giant white lady Afro. Next time, I shall rock it rather than fight it tooth and nail. We took a bus to Playa del Carmen because I assumed that the Riviera Maya resort was there. It was actually about 30 minutes north of Playa del Carmen, in the middle of nowhere. We had to take a taxi. When we checked in, the people at the Riviera Maya treated us so badly that my sister got a bit weepy at the scary-expensive dinner on-site. We headed for the resort's beach, which was made of rocks of mosquitoes. The pool, though, was admittedly wonderful. I had never heard of a "pool bar" before. May wonders never cease. In general, the resort seemed like it was for people who want 75-80 degree weather in late October without the hassle of dealing with another culture. Not my thing, but whatevs.
But if you can assist in processing and making my Visa application a surcess i will appreciate.
Hope to hear back from you.
Thanks.
