So it's Saturday 12th January and we arrive at Heathrow Airport only to find out our flight has been delayed by an hour, not great as it means we have to hang around the airport for 3 and half hours, but oh well these things happen, and it just means we don't have to spend as much time at Bangkok airport.
Once in the boarding lounge we hear that there are going to be more delays as they have found a "technical problem" this seems to get people worried and talking about going home or to a hotel. As i'm not the best traveller in the world i decided to get my puzzle book out and try and distract myself, which Stav found amusing seeing as i was so tired i kept messing the answers up. Anyway it didn't take them long to sort it out so our delay was only one and half hours in the end. The flight was smooth and we even managed to make up half an hour due to the wind being on our side. I didn't watch any movies, we only have a central screen (no private tv's) and the films didn't appeal so i read my book, did some puzzles and allegedly slept.
Now for the confusion, we arrived at Bangkok and thought we still had maybe an hour or so until our next flight, but oh no, we read the itiniery wrong, looked at the board for what gate we needed to be at, and it was flashing boarding eeeeek! Off we walk, then followed by running, for 20 minutes, this was the longest airport i have ever seen and got there just in time. So the hour we thought we had was only about 20 mins, but hey at least no hanging around.
This flight we had private tv's so i watched Hairspray, dozed off, read my book, dozed off, spied at what Stav was watching, got bored but had no attention span and then watched the Nanny Diaries, definitely a movie for when you have no concentration.
All in all i was quite impressed with the flights, the landing and take offs were smooth so i didn't freak out too much. The food was lovely and the service good. I have now discovered how tiring travelling is, as i really thought i would have slept more than i did.
Cue next day...........
