I don't know exactly what it is that draws me to New Mexico, but whatever it is, I find myself wishing I was there more than most other places. When a friend of ours mentioned that she would like to visit but she didn't know what to do or where to stay, I immediately got excited because I had a real reason to not only visit New Mexico, but to show someone else New Mexico!
I thoroughly enjoyed my time in New Mexico especially Santa Fe!! Met some wonderful people, saw some amazing sites and absolutely loved the history and architecture of this place!! The train ride is a must, eating out is a sheer joy and shopping at the stalls around the Plaza is compulsory!!
I am moving to Albuqerque on a hunch, that I will feel welcome and "at Home". I have picked an Apt. near the Rio Grande. Speaking with different people, to assist with this move, I think I am going to have a great time. Looking forward to ride the Mt. Gondola up 10000Ft. and walk around old town. See you soon. Thank you all for sharing your photos and experiance.
I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Albuquerque and am hoping to move there. This was my third trip. Balloon Fest was awesome!! Would like to experience some of the other towns like Los Lunas and Truth or Consequences (just because this name sounds interesting).
Have you thought about staying in Belen? Just 29 miles south of Albuquerque and it is a great central location to explore Salinas Monuments, Very Large Array, Acoma Sky City, and still be close to the Big City.
I never thought much about New Mexico until my daughter and her family moved there. I visit there often and am seriously contemplating moving there when I retire. I love the change of seasons, the beautiful mountains and the friendly people and of course I love being close to my family.
