This trip took 8 days of travel by car. The goal of the trip was to experience as much as possible in a short period of time: one day, once city. The November of typically off tourist season time in California. During this time you can get better services for lesser rates and no crowds in tourist destinations. The trade off is the cool weather.

The goal of this trip and the notes format

ImageTHE GOAL:

The goal of this 8 days long journey was to visit as many places as possible getting the broad experinces about various West Coast places.  Next year we are comming back in California.  We plan to re-visit those places that we liked the most spending more time at them.  This time, however, we moved fast from town to town getting the most of each place in one day. The trip was densely packed with events and entertainments.

THE FORMAT OF THE NOTES:

The format and the structure of this itinerary is intended to assist you with  building your own trip plan.  The collage pictures use the original size pictured posted in this trip album. Those should help you to get visual impression.  The timestamps provided will help you to estimate tome reaching the places.

THE BUDGET:

The budget for this trip was opened but we used common sense when making hotel reservations and planning for events. The two-moth prior planning saved us a lot of hassle and a thousand dollars in cash.  In total we end up spending about $3'700  for nine day journey.  Here is the itemized break down:  JetBlue tickets ($350 each) Hotels ($535.4), Trips & Tours ($798.8) , Car & Gas ($563.38) , Meals & Fun (~$1000).

Ready to rock-n-roll?  Hop on.  Let’s go!

Talk about this trip (9)
Your Album and trip was great however, the drinking and driving after you left Napa was not good nor was it funny. Sorry, but I couldn't let that go. Maybe you do that in NY but if you get caught doing it here you are in more trouble than you bargained for not to mention killing a perfectly innocent person. I am quite the partier but would NEVER drink and drive. Sorry......

Have you seen the famous CA bumper sticker? It reads - "Welcome to California! Now - GO HOME!" It is made especially for people like you, my hapless friend from New York. Consider yourself bloody lucky for not getting killed (or killing somebody) while driving in drunken stupor on our beautiful expressways, or for not dying of dehydration somewhere in Nevada desert - yea, that's where Las Vegas is by the way - in Nevada. Please do us and yourself a favor next year - STAY HOME!!!

I lived in San Francisco for four years and moved in 1989, it is by far my husband and my very favorite city in the United States. We try to get back at least once every two or three years, and we tell everybody about it. We have been asked by some friends from our church to plan a trip, so I'm in the process of doing that for 2010...and we can't wait to show them our city. If you've not visited before...What are you waiting on!
