Lynne and Ted's Road Trip

Walla Walla to LaGrande Oregon to Twin Falls. Pretty straight foreward, good roads, amazing views.


A bit nervous about this town as research reveals a high crime rate with 1 sex offender for every 400 residents, then sad because as I took a closer look at this list, many of the crimes were against children under the age of 16.

Arrived  around dusk having left Walla Walla around 9:30 am. Stayed at the Shilo Inn. They put us on the 3rd floor. The room was huge, clean, included frig and microwave. Hotel was in a mall area with shopping across the street and many restaurants all around. Breakfast at cozy diner across the parking lot comes with room.  All and all, pretty decent.

Complaints - third floor hall lighting was dim and gap under doors shared noises from other rooms. I was there on a weekend so the noise may have been a bit more due to locals letting off steam. Wasn't excessive and didn't last long.

In the morning, as I crossed this bridge leaving town I stopped and took some photos - amazing gorge, right along the edge of town.
