Abu Simbel Dreamers


Day 01: Cairo

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be greeted & assisted by one of Egypt Unexpected tours representatives with formalities through customs & transfer by private mini van to the selected hotel in Cairo. Check-in & Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 02: Cairo/ Aswan

After breakfast, you will meet your Egyptologist guide at the hotel to depart for a full day tour of Cairo. You will discover the pyramids of Giza and the famous Sphinx. Your tour will end with a visit to the royal burial ground during the old kingdom "Sakkara" you will visit the first proper pyramid built for king Zoser in the 27th century B.C by the architect Imhotep. After a full day in Cairo, you will be escorted to the Giza railway station to board the sleeper train to Aswan. Dinner and Overnight on board.

 

Day 03: Aswan

Morning arrival at Aswan train station, where you will be met by your Egypt Unexpected representative for a transfer to your selected hotel for check in .In the afternoon, you will visit the High Dam and the beautiful temple of Philae. Rest of the day free, you can explore the Souk of Aswan which is full of the scent & colours of spices, perfumes, scarves & baskets, view the spectacular sunsets while having tea on the terrace of your hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 04: Aswan / Abu Simbel  

Breakfast, Early morning transfer to Airport flight to Abu Simbel. Arrive Abu Simbel transfer to hotel. Visit Temples of Abu Simbel. Overnight at your hotel.

 

Day 05: Abu Simbel / Aswan

Early morning opportunity to see the sunrise at the temple. Transfer to airport flight to Aswan arrive Aswan then excursion on a traditional felucca to visit Elephantine and Kitchner Island’s. Transfer to your Nile cruise boat. Overnight cruise boat.  

Day 06: Kom Ombo / Edfu

Early morning sail to Kom- Ombo. In Kom Ombo, visit the temple of Sobek and Haroeris, the magnificent Ptolemaic temple is in awe-inspiring setting on high ground by the Nile surrounded by sugarcane fields, dedicated jointly to Haroeris, the medicine god, and Sobek, the crocodile god. Lunch on board. Relax and admire the beautiful scenery along the Nile while sailing to Edfu. In Edfu, you will visit the temple of Horus, the falcon headed god. Then back on board and sail to Luxor. Dinner and overnight on board.

 

Day 07: Luxor

Breakfast and free morning, lunch on board. In the afternoon depart for visits of the East Bank of Luxor, including the Luxor & Karnak temples. Then relax in the Nile Cruise or you can walk through history, ride on a horse-drawn carriage, sail in a felucca, or explore the city of mysteries. Dinner & Overnight on board.

 

 

Day 08: Luxor / Cairo

Breakfast & check out from your Nile Cruise. Then depart for visits of the West Bank of Luxor, including the Colossi of Memnon, Temple of Queen Hatchepsut, Valley of the Queens and the Valley of the Kings. Then you will be escorted to the Luxor railway station to board the sleeper train to Cairo. Dinner and Overnight on board.

 

 

Day 09: Cairo

Morning arrival at the Giza train station, where you will be met by your Egypt Unexpected representative for transfer to your hotel in Cairo. Check in at your hotel, and after freshening up you will meet your guide to start a full day tour to visit the Egyptian Museum, which houses about 250.000 antique pieces including the statues, sarcophagi & the fabulous treasures of Tutankhamun, continue your visit to the Citadel of Saladin with the Alabaster mosque of Mohamed Ali. Then to the famous Khan El Khalili bazaar (Since the 14th century). Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 10: Cairo

After breakfast you will be transferred to Cairo international airport for the final departure (End of Services).
