Packing list
The Universal Packing List (http://upl.codeq.info/) is a really good starting point for remembering what to pack. Purists apparently criticize it as too much stuff, but that really, really depends on individual circumstances. I'd prefer deleting things off too long a list to forgetting my wallet in an attempt to be spartan.
