Got started a day late. Whoops!
So we had to drive straight from Toronto to Cavendish, Vermont in one day. We still decided to try the scenic route since it didn't add much to our time and it was a gorgeous day. We went around the north side of Lake Ontario, crossed the border at Prescott, ON/ Ogdensburg, NY. The trees were absolutely beautiful. Then we went south into the Adarondacks. As we got into the hills of the Adarondacks we got more evergreens and a bit less colour but it was still quite nice.

Tupper Lake was quite nice (see picture).
By the time we got past Lake Placid it got dark so our enjoyment of the park diminished and we started to focus on just getting there.
We stopped regularly during the trip for walks and for meals, so it was after 10pm by the time we got to the Castle Hill Resort in Cavendish.
