It's two weeks away and it's seems surreal that we're going to Europe for Christmas. I've been dreaming of this for at least 8 years. I saved airline points to try to get 50,000 for a free ticket, and have ended up paying for it instead. But the end result is the same... I'm spending Christmas in Europe.
I've begun the process of breaking in new shoes, practicing walking with my new backpack, and assembling the things I'm taking with us. I'm downloading music, getting the photo cards ready, ... hmmm... there must be something I'm forgetting. I just hope the thing I forgot doesn't cost too much overseas.
One week away! Jameson Distillery added, Guinness and Jameson one day? We shall see.... I can't wait. Amidst moving, stress levels are at an all time high and I really could use this trip.
Happy Christmas Eve to both of you! The trip sounds wonderful and I check in on you every day. Hope you get over the shaky thing. Back off the beer and detox a bit..maybe irish coffee? Ok, Tea. Watch out for rude, spitting frenchmen. Jamie said they would spit on the sidewalk in front of them when she was there. Are you doing midnight mass at Notre Dame?
Merry Christmas to everyone out there following our travels! We are in Paris now and we're looking forward to seeing the Mouse tomorrow. Yes Joan... I've been detoxing for a few days to get ready for Amsterdam and more beer!
We caught a quick glimpse of the Eiffel Tower today and saw an amazing sunset, but most of the day was spent traveling from Shannon Ireland to our hotel in Paris. Navigating the subways, busses, etc. is a chore here... much more so than in London or Ireland. Anyway... all is well with us!
BTW... remember that Norad is tracking Santa... he's headed to the US soon...
