Very enjoyable trip with my mother. We were there looking at retirement property. We started Phoenix. Nice large town but lots of construction going on. My favorite towns were Scottsdale and Sedona. Scottsdale has everything you need, good shopping and food. However, the traffic was heavy at times. Small roads for so many vehicles. Still very nice town.
We started our stay at Chaparral Suites. Hmmmm, ok hotel. A made to order breakfast came with the hotel, not a great array of choices but very nice. They have a pool for families and one that is not supposed have kids hanging around, but someone didnt get the memo. Overall an ok hotel, however it is on the corner of 2 major roads.
We then took a trip to Sedona. On the way we visited a casino. Won big! Loved it. Pretty fast drive up towards Sedona. Lots of desert scenery. But when you turn off to head to Sedona.......BEAUTIFUL!! Beautiful place! Lots of people, but beautiful! Stopped by the Oak Creek Factory outlet.....hmmm, not that great! We stayed at Sedona Summit Resort. Unfortunately, they put us next to construction. Looks like they are building more resorts. Nice hotel other wise.
