droved all the way from kuala lumpur to singapore. it took about 5 hours.
Chinatown - lots of souvenirs for sale - t-shirts, key-chains, fridge magnets, ashtrays, etc. But i've found a cheaper place - Lucky Plaza in Orchard Road - a shop on the 1st floor - they sell t-shirts 4pc for SGD10.00, and chocolates that has the 'merlion' shape.
Fragance Hotel : Ruby, in Geylang Road - nice, cosy, clean, air-cond, some rooms got bath tub - the room is quite small and has no cupboard to store ur clothes - but it's ok considering it's a 1 star hotel - they have housekeeping! the rate per night is SGD100++ Note that geylang road is a red-light area.
Malay Village and Geylang Serai - i loveeeee the 'sambal ikan bakar' (spicy bbq fish) here in the food stalls opposite malay village. the name of the stall is 'Restoran Mak Dara - Ikan Bakar'. this is the best 'ikan bakar' i've ever tasted - better than in malaysia. the 'ikan bakar' price is within SGD8.00 to SGD10.00
Fountain of Wealth - beside Suntec City Mall - the largest fountain in the world - i went to see it at night, took MRT to City Hall , have to walk indoor through all of the 3 shopping malls situated there - and when i reached the fountain - it was a waste of my time :( - maybe because i had to walked through 3 shopping malls. i should have taken a taxi instead.
