I hope the flight was superb (If you flew Lufthansa, it probably was...). Since you have some time, you can enjoy much to do in Germany, including some side trips to the Alsace-Lorraine, such as Strasbourg, plus make a jaunt over to Luxembourg (still owned by a private family who served the Hapsburgs with distinction) and enjoy some superb eats on the way. Just watrch out for Blood Sausage, it's sort of nasty...
We're jealous, but I hope you all have a great time.
Sorry to take so long to start getting the travel journal updated. We were pretty busy and it has been difficult to make time to find internet access and make these updates. I'm doing my best to catch up (hope to be caught up with my notes in the next couple days)!
Sounds like you guys are having a great time! I'm jealous! The hot tub is fixed, now you just need new filters, and it's good to go---I'm thinking you guys should have a hot tub party when you get back. Sigh. Pangs of envy. Toodles!
It looks like you guys are having a great time! I especially like the pictures of the castle in the fog. Keep posting the updates of your adventures and have fun in Italy.
I find that the risk/reward ratio for eating any bratwurst leans entirely too far in the favor of risk. Hope you're feeling better. Have you been recruited by any European basketball teams yet?
Thanks to those that have left comments! It's real cool hearing from you guys even though we're so far away right now.
I was trying to upload a few more pictures tonight, but Megan's camera is managing to lock up the internet cafe machine I'm on. So the pictures for the beginning of Italy may have to wait another day or two. She filled up the 1GB card in Germany and is now hard at work trying to fill up the 2GB memory card we picked up cheap before leaving. When we find a machine that can handle the driver for her camera I'll get a few more up!
Okay about 15 or so new ones added. Still got some more but a little bit of Venice and a bit of Rome has been uploaded. More coming soon as I just ran out of time tonight!
