Wednesday:

Frontier Airlines was great. I was impressed with their customer service and the kids definitely enjoyed the video screens on the plane from Minneapolis. I still, however, prefer to fly non-stop via Northwest if I can. (though my parents flew down later that evening via NWA and were 2 hours late. yuck). I had cousins and my aunt Lisa and uncle Scott on the plane with us so that was neat- we were even sitting next to each other....

We met my aunt Ginni and uncle Tim (the ABQ family and parents of the groom) at the airport. It was nice because they helped us navigate the rush hour traffic back to our respective hotels. We were staying at the Courtyard by Marriott up in Journal Center. Nice hotel. We picked it because that is where the reception would be later that weekend- just easier with the kids since they could go up to bed if we wanted to hang out longer.

Tim left us to clean up and unpack and then we met the whole gang at Garduno's for some yummy mexican food. Beware of the salsa- it's mild enough that anyone can eat it, but had enough of a kick that you keep eating it as you are afraid if you stop your tongue may hurt- while we waited for our food to arrive, I did eat enough to cause numbness. I ordered a combo and enjoyed both the red and green chili sauces...as the adults talked and relaxed, my boys fell asleep on the empty booth next to us. With that, I knew it was time to go- especially since I still had to pick up some breakfast items at the store.....

NOTE TO ALL: There are not refridgerators in the hotel's guest rooms, but you can request one from the front desk  (a small charge may apply) and have one put in your room. I much prefer picking up a few plastic bowls spoons, box of cereal and some milk for breakfast then shelling out $35 at the hotel dining room.
