We arrvied in Honolulu after having a wonderful flight! The lei greeting surprised my hubby when someone was holding up a sign with our names on it when we got off the airplane and then she gave us our leis and then left! The leis were beautiful but the greeting ahd soemthing to be desired!!! I guess that it isn't the same as you see on TV!!!
We headed for Alamo car rental on the shuttle to get our car! The kid behind the counter was a real jerk!! He got nasty with me when I told him that I didn't want to purchase their extra insurance and he threw my credit card at me and told me to go to the parking lot and pick which car I wanted!!! So much for customer service!!! We got in the car and headed for Aqua Aloha Surf in Waikiki. Thankfully we had the TOMTOM navagational program on our cell phone as it is not very easy to find your way around in Honolulu.The hotel was pretty nice but the rooms were small!! We had a balcony and we could stand on the balcony and see the beach! The front of the hotel was all open and very pretty. Our hotel was about 2 blocks from the beach! We had lots of stores and places to eat right outside the hotel doors!
