Well, we left @ 3 a.m., headed east. We had to stop in Benbrook to fill a couple of prescriptions and pick up a few things and then we were on our way.
We landed in LA around 7 a.m., right on schedule. Justin woke up around 7:30. making the trip a little more interesting. We stopped in Shreveport for breakfast at Cracker Barrel and then got back on the road. Justin fell back to sleep and we gained some ground. We stopped in Opelousas, LA for lunch and it was AWFUL! AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL! We set out in search of some Popeye's Chicken, to no avail. We went UUUUP the street and DOOOWN the street, UUUP the street and DOOOWN the street....it was busy, it was trashy, and it was crazy. By the time we exhausted all efforts in finding the Popeye's, we decided on Burger King. We walked in and it was sooo filthy and everyone was quite unpleasant. HA, or maybe we were just tired and cranky? Anyhow, we got our food to go and headed to Wal-Mart to wear Justin out. We ate in the car and Jesse spilled his fries all over his fresh detail job. Ha, so I took a picture. Back on the road again...and again, and again. Anyhow, we wound up in Baton Rouge around 3 p.m. and Justin lost it! He screamed, he held his breath and we freaked out. We pulled over, got him breathing again (it takes some effort these days for those of you who don't know), and put him right back in his seat. Somewhere between Baton Rouge and the middle of Mississippi, he fell asleep. He woke up ten miles shy of Mobile and decided that we were done driving for the night.
So here we are, three EXHAUSTED kiddos, ready for a good night of sleep. Thanks everyone for your prayers, we really appreciate them! We love you and miss you all!
Love,
Jesse, Jenny, and Justin
P.S. Justin really liked the tub @ the hotel...couldn't wait to get in!
Love Ya
