This trip was a girls only trip for three of my four sisters and I. It was so fun and relaxing we are doing it again in Apr. 08 at Myrtle Beach. We stayed in a beautiful log cabin which we found online at colonial properties. It had a heavenly hot tub on the first floor deck which faced the smokies. There was also a deck/balcony off the master bedroom upstairs with a really breath taking view of the smokies and surrounding forest. We all enjoyed Dollywoods quaint appeal, and being this was sept. it was not crowded at all. We parked at the trolley station at the Old Mill area everyday and rode the trolley for .50 cents. I think the best event we attended was the comedy cafe, it was good clean belly laugh fun, music, dog tricks, unforgettable characters.............A must see in my opinion. We also went to the Dixie Stampede which we also really enjoyed, I live in GA and my sisters live in Ohio and WVA so we had a good natured north and south rivalry going on. This was a unique dining and show experience. The way the performers handled the horses and other animals in the arena was nothing short of amazing. And for a little nostagic trip down memory lane we ate at the Oldies Showplace cafe. We took our pics with the Blue Bros. and Elvis out front, then went inside for cherry cokes, and sundaes, all we were missing was poodle skirts and saddle shoes. This is a trip I would like to repeat with my husband and grandchildren one day.
