Day 1, arrived at LAX.
Drive to Bishop was basically 250-mile journey. This Bishop was basically a small town out of nowhere.
Day 2, drove to Yosemite National Park, only a couple of hours away.
On our way through Tioga road, stopped at Tenaya Lake near the Tuolumne Meadows. This place is UNBELIEVABLE! Sooo peaceful and beautifull... There was a nice picnic area by the beach. Really enjoyed our lunch overlooking the lake.
Next stop was Yosemite Valley. Unfortunately, it was almost late August and the waterfalls were all dried out.
Then drove all the way up to Glaier point, which is the highest place where you can see 360 degrees without any obstruction. Amazing. Photos came out fantastic.
On the way out, visited Mariposa Grove to see big Sequoia trees. Roamed about an hour to see severagl famous trees. They were huge, but nothing much otherwise...
Day 3, all about driving through desert to Grand Canyon. Crazy itinerary. Don't recommend it.
Day 4, Grand Canyon!!! Drove around and stopped at several points to take pictures. An old Indian tower at the eastern end was cool.
Hiked down along the Bright Angel Trail. The smells of animal waste was... yuck... Didn't see it coming. Other than that, great experience.
Day 5, Las Vegas. LOTS of sightseeing, Buffet at Mirage, KA at MGM (spectacular!), very busy day.
Day 6, Los Angeles. LA is really hyped city in my opinion. Traffic jam was terrible. Not very clean and sooo crowded. Won't bother visiting there again, period.
Day 7, Universal Studios Hollywood.
The tram tour was so boring for the first half (feels like 1~2 hours). The latter half was fine - lots of action and special effects. Rides were okay.
Finished our west-coast trip with a nice dinner and watching sunset at Palos Verdes Peninsula. Perfect way to end the journey.
