We bought tickets for a 48 hour bus round trip.
And so we took the Upper town tour.
But before we started the tour, we went to Penn Station to arrange the train trip for Washington on Friday.
Just before we entered the station a nice man told us with full enthusiasm there were energy bars being given , so he took us to the person who was giving them out and told him he brought some more clients.-
So then we walked back to the spot the bus was starting the tour. We waited a while, because (and this is an advise for anyone who wants to buy a tour ticket and will be able to see something too of this very interesting tour) we wanted a place on the roof of the bus!!
At St John's Cathedral (110th -Amsterdam) we got of to meet our Rabbi-Chen- and her son Shai, for a nice lunch at a very tasty Italian restaurant.
We went to see the garden next to the cathedral, that has statues of stories and songs from children in New York ( see the pictures).
Back on the tour bus we rode until Schwartz – the toy store at 5th Ave to be followed by the NBA store.
As we arrived at 43 street on our way to 42 for the bus station, we noticed people running towards our direction, as many of them were looking backwards.
We could see a cloud of white smoke climbing up the sky somewhere from the area of the Crysler building.
There where people telling others to go north and not to stand still, others were talking with their cell phones and looking scared and worried at the sky .
We tried to film the (white) smoke and while filming I noticed some people covered with dirt.
Then I realized we had some dirt on us too.
After we arrived back at the Kastners in New Jersey, we heard that the accident was caused by an explosion of a steam pipe at the Grand Central Station.
